This is a history of the Layman, Leymanshtein, Leimanshtein, Leymonshtein and Rayak, Royak families. It began in Vyazma and Vitebsk in Russia in the early eighteen hundreds, and went through China and Israel and finished up in Australia. I finished writing this history 19th March 2018.
While I tried to be factual and accurate, some details were hazy and there are gaps which in time I am hoping will be filled. We lost contact with my mother's brother Yifim Rayak, my uncle, when he went to study engineering in a university either in Moscow or Leningrad. Last we heard, he was married and had a daughter. We don't know the wife's or the daughter's name. We are guessing the daughter would have been born around 1925-1930. I would dearly like to find this daughter who would be around 90 by now, and possibly even her family if there is one.

I am desperately wanting to find the family of my uncle Yifim (Ephraim) Rayak or Royak
